Madrasah Al-Maarif Al-Islamiah is having the annual Friday donation drive on 11 April 2008 at all mosques in Singapore. For all Muslims who are attending the Friday prayer on that day, please look out for the donation box held by our students and donate generously to the Al-Maarif as we are finding fund for our building maintenance. We are also looking for support in term of; volunteers to ferry our students to the Mosques, sponsors for food and beverages for our volunteers on that day. Parked our ride at B3 & head on straight for the "smokers' corner", we were thr 30mins early.
I wasnt into the idea of reading the scripts tt my wife prepared the nite b4, I wanted it to be all natural.
BUT...
I got all shaky when it was almost time & went thru my scripts in the end.
My face turned pale moment Riz came out to the reception to greet us.
Fun chap, Farnie lot, Juz like us..& thru-out the walk to the studio, he was all chatty abt the whole media-related knacks he has to deal wif everyday in his life..Sharing wif us some strange, farnie & sad encounters as well.
Guess he was juz trying to make us feel calm.
Walked in the studio & saw DJ TG & Mariam in the recording room opposite us. They waved hello, Fun bunch. All four of us end up smiling & giggling to god noes wat!!! My wife sat behind me & we went thru series of casual toks & getting to noe FAP & viewing of our work (samples). Riz was impressed, "Aku nak book korang ah!!!"...LoL...
As Riz went thru the Qs...I was trying hard to answer every one of them thru my scripts. Its hard to make out her handwriting, Really..& each time I pauses, she came to the rescue ...
It took the entire recording abt 40mins, Riz played back some of the audio cuts..
After all is done, we hang out in the studio for a bit & later Riz sent us off to the Reception agn.
It was fun, Great experience..
We both thank all for the well wishes..Agn, we cldnt hv done it w/out everyone's support..

Health is in the way...Both me & Tootsie are way too tired...
Energy level wiped out...Yday, we were all over town...Getting our items all prepared for this wkend's CHANTIK @ OCC event (Aida's Link & Yazid's Link)...We're the official photographer & for the 2nd time (in 6 of our Corporate Event Coverage), we're asked to set up an Info-booth to display our samples & oso a Photo-booth for the guests to hv their shot wif the artists (namely, Man Toyak, Adibah Noor, Man Kidal & Yazid Lovehunters)...
Excited? Of coz, But...All of us are saving our juices for the event...
We're invited to Mediacorp 2day for an interview with Warna @ 4pm, DJ Riz wants us to have a short interview wif FAP...

It brought tears (tiny one) to my eyes...
Years ago, not many tink we can make it...& many more crude remarks flung to our faces...
Makwe never fail to pinch my cheek wheneva I visit her in the hospital or wheneva I cracked jokes.
Was thingking to tell my wife that nite, abt e unusual dream I had of Makwe smiling at me whilst having her hand placed on my shoulder. Instead..I called my wife at exactly 7:40am to inform her of the newz.

Me: Hi Ian, awak dah sampai tmpt keje?
Wife: Hmm..Ian baru dropped off from the bus..walking towards the office now. Y abang..?
Me: *silence*
Wife: Y abang, is there sumthing u wana tell me?
